How do I manually unmount drives from within TechUSB?

TechUSB's hard drive scans will attempt to unmount all other drives TechUSB detects. Occasionally they fail to do so. Here is a temporary work-around until we permanently fix the issue.

  1. In this case, we have a 201 GB File system mounted.

    To see this screen, open File Manager on the desktop and look for attached drives. If the drive needs to be ejected, do so. 
  2. Take note of the location of the drive in the field at the top of the window. In this example, the location is /media/sda5.
  3. Open LXTerminal an type umount /media/sda5 replacing the /media/sda5 with the appropriate path to your drive.
  4. Repeat as necessary.
